Anna Schramke, CEcD, CEDFP, serves as Executive Director of the Green County Development Corporation (GCDC). Since joining GCDC, the organization has completed two strategic planning efforts, created a human resources forum to address future workforce needs, established the county's revolving loan fund, created a CEO Breakfast series, instituted the county's first business recognition program and was instrumental in the creation of a countywide community leadership program. In 2007 Anna received a Wisconsin Innovation Champion Award for her leadership in creating the Green County Area Entrepreneur & Inventor Club, an award given to individuals leading new initiatives in the public or non-profit sectors that have made significant contributions to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the state. Most recently, she has been working on the organization's first private sector fund raising campaigns.
A firm supporter of regional cooperation, she participates in the SW Wisconsin Economic Development Coalition, in "Thrive" - Madison Region Economic Development Enterprise, and in the Collaboration Council for the Dane County Region. Over the past 20+ years, Anna has worked for a wide range of organizations in Illinois and Ohio. She is currently a member of the Wisconsin Economic Development Association and the IEDC. She has served as President of the Mid-American Economic Development Council and the Illinois Enterprise Zone Association. Anna holds a BA from Northland College, Ashland WI, in economics and geography.
